Paying tuition to a university in another country can feel daunting — different currencies, large amounts and unfamiliar bank details. NestAbroad helps you understand and organise the payment, while the money itself moves through a licensed, regulated cross-border payment provider. This guide explains how that works.
How tuition payment works
When you are ready to pay tuition, NestAbroad helps you prepare the payment details and hands you to a licensed tuition-payment provider's secure checkout. You pay the provider in a supported currency, and the provider settles the fee to your university in the university's currency. NestAbroad coordinates and tracks the payment status — it does not receive, hold or move your tuition money.
What to check before you pay
- The university, student reference and fee purpose are correct
- The amount and any provider fees are shown before you confirm
- The currency quote has not expired — cross-border quotes are time-limited
- The provider settling the payment is named and licensed
- You keep the payment reference and receipt the provider issues
Tracking and receipts
After you pay, the provider issues a reference you can track. NestAbroad reflects the status — initiated, received and settled — so you can see the payment progress, and a person can help if anything looks stuck. Your university confirms when it has applied the payment to your account.
If something goes wrong
If a payment fails or is delayed, do not pay again blindly — contact NestAbroad support with the provider reference. Refunds and cancellations are handled by the licensed provider and, where relevant, the university; NestAbroad helps you raise and follow the case, but never issues a refund itself.
